About
Materials and surfaces shape light: diffuse reflection softens a space, specular reflection can create highlights and glare, and texture changes with the angle of incidence. Consider colour temperature, colour rendering, beam and viewing position together, then confirm the effect with samples and measurements. These are lighting design considerations, not claims about factories, origin, certification or manufacturing. Images are attributed temporary references.
Light does more than illuminate; it shapes how a place feels. CITAR starts with the way people live and work, then finds the right light.

Describe what people do in a space before assigning light its tasks. Ambient, accent and task lighting do not replace one another; together they make a place legible, comfortable and rhythmic.

Six specifications answer six different questions, not a single ranking of quality. Read values in the context of a space and distinguish concept references from measured specifications for a real product.
